ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
Bingöl University was established on 29.05.2007. Bingöl Vocational School is the core of the school. Bingöl Vocational School of Higher Education was founded in 1983 under Fırat University. In the first years of education and training, the High School, which started education on the campus of engineering faculty in Elazığ, started teaching in prefabricated buildings in Bingöl in 1987. The high school, which continued its education activities in the old Bingöl High School between 2004-2008 has been moved to the Faculty of Agriculture, which was opened in 2008-2009 academic year. The teaching activities are continued in the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, was completed, opened and started its education in 2012. Genç Vocational High School building was completed in 2015 in our Genç district and started education. Solhan Health Services Vocational High School building was completed in 2016 in Solhan district and education started. VS building (Health Services VS, Social Sciences VS and Technical Sciences VS) was completed in 2016 in our central district and education started. Our university, which has been developing rapidly with its establishment, is working hard to give a good account of itself at national level. It contributes to education of human power needed by our country and development of our region. Bingöl University aims to perform high-quality education and research in all fields of its activities. Our university continues to advance with its qualified staff and developing infrastructure. Bingöl University continues education with 8 Faculties, 2 Colleges, 5 Vocational Schools and 4 Institutes.
